Previous track record was held by Marcos Ambrose with a speed of 122.410 mph (8/7/2010). This is his third pole in 12 NASCAR Nationwide Series races. This is his first pole and first top-10 start in 2011. This is his third pole in three races at Watkins Glen International. Kyle Busch(i) (second) posted his 11th top-10 start of 2011 and his fourth in five races at Watkins Glen International. Carl Edwards(i) (third) posted his third top-10 start at Watkins Glen International. It is his 21st in 22 races this season. Timmy Hill (32nd) was the fastest qualifying rookie.
